Chapter 6: The Yakuza Way - Yakuza 0 Guide - IGN (2024)

Welcome to IGN's Walkthrough for Yakuza 0, continuing with Chapter 6: The Yakuza Way. In this chapter, you play as Kazuma Kiryu. This guide will help you navigate through the world, earn trophies, and fight tough enemies.

After regrouping with the others, Oda will reach out to Tachibana. He tells him not to trust Kiryu, and to go further into hiding. Then, Kiryu sets out to right his wrongs.

Go to the Empty Lot

Head to the empty lot at the marked location. Soon, Tachibana will arrive. He has located the owner of the empty lot. He asks you to keep quiet while he tracks the owner down.

Then, head back to the apartment. Before you get far, you meet a man who will teach you the Cash Confetti ability. This allows you to throw money while walking through the city to avoid combat encounters. This man then says you can make big money over at Theater Square. Go to the marked location. This will trigger Substory 18: Beyond the Door.

Go down the stairs to continue. The doorman insists you impress him with your wealth. Simply perform the Cash Confetti action and he will let you in. Inside, you are introduced to the Japan Catfight Club (JCC). Then, the doorman will return ¥10,000 to you. This concludes Substory 18.

Now, you need to head back to the apartment. Before you do, go stock up on health items. After you enter your apartment, you won't be able to get more. You will need plenty for this next area.

After going to the apartment, a cutscene will play. Kuze sends the whole Dojima clan after you. Once you are back in the city, head straight until you reach a crossroads. Then, turn left. Run until you reach a group of Yakuza blocking the way. Then, turn right. Go down the alley here. Some Yakuza will ambush you. Beat these guys up. After, follow the path indicated by the pink markers.

Then, several Yakuza will ambush you. This time, you have limited time to defeat them. First, you have 2 minutes to defeat the initial group of enemies. Then, continue toward the pink location markers. Here, you find another group of enemies to defeat. You need to beat them up in 60 seconds. Next, continue on to the following wave of enemies. You will have 30 seconds to defeat this group.

If you are having trouble beating them, try switching to the Rush fighting style. Make use of the fast combos and heat actions to make quick work of these guys.

Then, head to the next section. Here, you will have 30 seconds again.

The Beast fighting style works best here. There are plenty of objects to make use of midswing. Use wide-sweeping attacks to clear the whole group.

Lastly, you will come upon a circle of 10 Yakuza. Effectively crowd control and you should handle them with little problems.

After, a stripper will offer you secret passage through the club. Inside, be sure and grab the Staminan X and Toughness ZZ before exiting. Then, you can cut through the sewers. Soon, Kuze appears on a motorcycle, racing through the tunnel. Here, you will fight Kuze once more.

Daisaku Kuze

This time, need to watch out for two main attacks. First, Kuze will wind up and launch a large uppercut attack. This does a significant amount of damage. However, it also leaves Kuze open for a counterattack. Be sure and capitalize on this opening. Second, Kuze can launch a string of 3 quick sweeping attacks. Get caught in this and you will take a good chunk of damage.

To combat Kuze, use a mix of the Rush and Brawler skills. Use the Rush when his guard is down. You can dish out a lot of hits and knock him to his back. If you can get him on the ground, be sure and use heat actions to deal big chunks of damage. If Kuze does start blocking, feel free to make use of the Brawler skill set. You can punch through his blocks if you complete full combos. Bring his health all the way down and you will trigger a cutscene.

Then, Owana offers Kiryu to join him or die. Kiryu objects, and leaves Owana behind. Just then, Nishiki will arrive. He drives Kiryu into the middle of nowhere. He then threatens his life. Thankfully, he can’t go through with it. Kiryu leaves Nishiki behind, telling him they can no longer see each other.
