Jennifer Case Nevarez and author Barney Saltzberg met at the annual Society of Children’s Book Writer’s and Illustrators in Los Angeles, Jennifer suggested the crazy idea based on the book Crazy Hair Day by Barney Saltzberg. More than 500 BOOKS were donated by Starbucks Coffee Company. More than 500 VOLUNTEERS and celebrity readers read to more than 8,000 children and adults in more than 120 LOCATIONS in San Diego.
