How do I get married in Las Vegas?
You’ll need to obtain a license from the Marriage License Bureau, which is open daily from 8 a.m. to midnight, including holidays, before the ceremony. You cannot make an appointment to get your license as the bureau is open for walk-ins only, but it usually takes about 15 minutes to get your license, depending on how busy it is. Both parties must appear together before a clerk. Once you have your paperwork, you’ll just need an officiant licensed in Nevada, a witness, and to provide your IDs to the person performing the ceremony. Many wedding chapels and venues in Las Vegas have a licensed officiant on site, but it’s best to call ahead and confirm so you can make alternative plans if necessary.
