How to access the UCF library online? ›

Log in with your UCF NID. Start with links on the Libraries website. Our links connect through OpenAthens and ask you to log in as needed. If you run into access problems, try clearing your cookies and cache and confirming or resetting your NID password.

The system, which stretches across Central Florida, includes eleven libraries of the university and provides primary support to all academic programs. The libraries serve UCF's students and faculty, and paid memberships are available to local residents.

The UCF Libraries welcomes guest patrons by giving access to Library Public PCs, as well as the ability to Print, Copy, & Scan. Guests may obtain the Daily Guest Password from Library Service Desks.

To find a book, you can begin by performing a search using our Primo Search tool. This search will our catalog for books that we own as well as books owned by other State libraries that we can check out as well. For other book related topics, see our links and video tutorials below.

All UCF Libraries computers require patrons to log on using their NID and NID Password. Non-UCF affiliated patrons may request a temporary user name and password at a service desk.

Borrowing Privileges

Hitt Library, the Curriculum Materials Center (CMC), the Downtown Campus (DTC) Library, or the Rosen Library, you must be a current UCF student enrolled in at least one class for the semester, be an active faculty or a current staff member, or have a Special Borrower card.

Lecture-capture classes are significantly larger than the others around campus. For instance, the largest in-person class — a science course — tops in at 450 students.

Hitt Library, Curriculum Materials Center (CMC), the Rosen Library, and the Downtown Campus Library, the following individuals may borrow library materials with their UCF ID or valid government photo ID: UCF Students (must be enrolled in at least one class for the semester) Current UCF Faculty. Current UCF Staff.

Use extra care when consuming food and drink while using computers, equipment, and library materials. Alert library staff to any spills or messes so that the area can be cleaned promptly. Food and open drink containers are not permitted within the John C. Hitt 5th Floor Quiet Study area.

UCF Alumni may purchase a borrowers card with 6 months of privileges for $30 or 1 year for $60. The card is non-transferable between individuals. Alumni with existing Knights for Life memberships can receive a borrowers card at no cost with proof of membership and government issued photo ID.

Acceptable Forms of Payment

E-check and credit card payments may be made online by logging into myUCF (https://my.ucf.edu). Checks issued from money market accounts, credit card companies, mutual funds, brokerage accounts, home equity or other lines of credit cannot be processed as an e-check.

UCF students, faculty and staff have no limit on the number of items to be checked out from our General Collection. Non-University Patrons who are issued Special Borrower Cards may have up to ten items checked out at a time.

Visit the Addition Financial Downtown Campus Library in suite 265, located on the 2nd floor of the Dr. Phillips Academic Commons East Wing. You can also reach library staff by email or by calling 407-235-3720.

Using your NID, log in to Webcourses@UCF either via direct link or through the MyUCF portal for access to online course content (you will only be able to access at contract start date).

Search for your digital eTextooks available through the library website. Know your NID and password. *The eTextbooks are provided courtesy of the UCF Libraries. Not all textbooks are available as eTextbooks.
